About Het Grote Wooninitiatief

Affordable housing requires scale

By 2030 the Netherlands needs almost a million new homes. Het Grote Wooninitiatief focuses on 10% of that task: around 98,000 affordable, sustainable homes.

That scale is a deliberate choice. As more home seekers join, demand, procurement, production, logistics, financing and locations can be aligned ever better. Step by step this creates more room for affordable, sustainable housing projects.

That is why Het Grote Wooninitiatief starts with organised demand. By making housing wishes visible per region, a concrete starting point emerges for projects, modular home configurations and partnerships.

Part of Vital

Het Grote Wooninitiatief is a programme by Vital Living. We also collaborate within these initiatives.
